Troubleshooting
-
If the watch shows white signal bars and a white LTE, 3G, 2G, or GPRS symbol in the reception menu, your watch was connected to the Anio app within the last 3 minutes. -
If the signal bars are crossed out, the watch does not detect a SIM card.
Turn off the watch. Reinsert the SIM card and restart it. Also check if the SIM card is active. -
If white signal bars are shown but the LTE symbol is grey, the watch has no internet reception and cannot connect to your Anio app.
After the first start of the watch, it can take up to 4 minutes for the LTE symbol to turn white.
- If the symbol remains grey after 4 minutes, the following reasons may apply:
-
The data credit of the Anio SIM card is not activated. Please check if “Internet” is enabled and activated on the SIM card of the Anio watch. You can inquire with your mobile provider. Alternatively, you can check in the congstar app, for example.
-
- Another reason why the watch may not show a white LTE symbol could be insufficient network coverage on site. Please place the watch outdoors and check after 15 minutes if the LTE symbol has turned white.
- SIM cards from the following providers are compatible with Anio watches, including both prepaid options and contract cards.
However, it is advised not to use multi-SIMs or secondary cards, as these can cause problems during activation and use of the watches.

Anio 5
Swipe down on the watch when you are in the home menu to access the volume menu:
The reception on your watch must look like this for you to have phone and online reception:
- First, you see the white-filled signal bars for phone reception
- then the E for online reception
- then the location symbol (crossed out here)
- volume symbol
- vibration symbol
As soon as the signal bars on your device are grey and there is no E for online reception, you have neither phone nor online reception. In this case, please check point 1.
If the signal bars are crossed out, your watch does not detect the SIM card.
Then check point 2.
The SIM card and reception are essential for the watch to function.
If your device does not go online, there can be many causes.
Please check the following:
1. Prepaid Cards
Is the SIM card a prepaid card?
Please check the balance. For example, a few cents may be enough for calls but not for online connection.
Also check if a data plan has been booked with the balance.
Please also check if the card is activated and the SIM PIN lock is disabled.
2. SIM Cover
- Does the SIM card cover close completely flush, or does it protrude over the edge?
- Are there any small broken or chipped parts on the SIM card cover?
- Can the SIM card cover be removed easily and without problems from the device?
- Is there any damage visible on the gold SIM contacts of the device? Is one missing, or are they pressed in? (Anio 5 and Anio 5S)
- Are there any visible damages or cracks on the casing?
Click on the video - there you will learn how to correctly insert the SIM card cover.
If any of these points apply, please contact our support in writing.
If none of these points apply, please request a new SIM card from your provider.
