With the family chat, you can exchange messages.
- Send text, voice, and emoji messages to the watch.
- The watch can send emoji and voice messages to the app.
- 9 different emojis can be sent.
- It is a family chat. This means that the child's messages are not sent separately to, for example, mom or dad, but always to everyone.
- Voice messages can last a maximum of 15 seconds
- An incoming message is marked with a red exclamation mark on the home screen and in the chat.
- During quiet periods, which you can set in the app, all incoming messages are muted.
- After the quiet period ends, the received messages are marked with a red exclamation mark and can then be read or listened to.
Recording Voice Messages
To be able to record voice messages on the watch, please note the following:
- Tap the microphone icon in the chat
- Hold down the red circle and speak into the watch’s side microphone. A yellow bar fills to symbolically show the length of the voice message.
Important: If the voice message is shorter than 2 seconds, it will not be sent. - Release the circle to send the voice message
Voice messages are very quiet or unclear
If voice messages recorded on the watch sound quiet, this may be due to the following:

The volume on your smartphone is set low. Please adjust the volume or media volume (Android) higher.
- The microphone is located on the left side of the Anio 6. Please speak directly into the microphone here.
The full text message is not displayed on the watch
Due to the screen size and to maintain overview in the chat, the complete text message is shown by tapping on the message.
- Tap the message to see the full message. Exit the menu via X.
I cannot send a voice message from my smartphone
For the Anio app to send voice messages, microphone permission must be granted when recording voice messages on the smartphone.
Grant the Anio app access to the microphone. This is the only way you can record voice messages.
iOS

Additionally, you must enable access for "Media".
Depending on the manufacturer, this setting may vary. Please check the exact setting in your smartphone’s manual.
How do I send text messages from the watch to the app?
The Anio 6 can receive text messages from the app, but the watch’s screen is too small to comfortably type on. Therefore, text messages cannot be sent from the watch.
The watch does not send or receive any messages
For the chat to work reliably, the watch must be able to connect to the app.
It appears that your watch/SIM card cannot connect to the app.
