For the Anio to work reliably, the watch requires a functioning Nano SIM with an active data plan and telephony. The SIM PIN must also be deactivated.
If you are still experiencing problems with the SIM card, please try the following steps:
- Insert the SIM card from the watch into a smartphone.
- Check telephony (calls) and mobile Internet.
Does the SIM also not work in the phone?
→ Please contact your mobile network provider directly.
- Deactivate the SIM PIN on the smartphone.
- Then insert the working SIM into the watch.
Check in the app or directly on the watch:
- Do chat, telephony and data transmission work (e.g. phone book entries)?
- Switch the watch off completely (hold the power button down for approximately 30 seconds).
- Insert the SIM card – make sure it is seated correctly.
- The SIM compartment should close completely without force.
- Switch the watch on again and wait 2–3 minutes for it to register on the network.
- Is the watch shown as online in the app?
-
On the watch: Is LTE greyed out (Anio 6), or is no E visible (Anio 5)?
→ Usually no data plan, no mobile data reception or SIM problems.
- With a contract: Does it include an unlimited data plan?
- With prepaid: Is there enough credit & has the data plan been activated?
-
Some SIM cards only provide data, but no telephony.
The watch needs both for calls: data + telephony.
APN settings cannot be changed manually on the Anio.
- The SIM must provide the correct APN data automatically.
- If your provider requires a specific APN, the SIM should provide it automatically.
→ If you have questions or problems with the APN, please contact your mobile network provider directly and explain that the APN cannot be configured manually on the Anio.
